I suggest to leave those things to the history book. The situation was so bad about 10 years ago, but not anymore. What is the risk when you come to Colombia? Colombian people are 99 % honest and happy people who wants that you will enjoy the time in their country and they want to help you. If you are looking for a warm cities go to Cartagena, Cali, Medellin, San Andres Island or to cooler places like Bogota. There are many places to see. Can you believe there are over 45 millions of people in Colombia? Go and see the world in a new way. Visit places where you can learn new things and meet new people. I have done it twice.
